"“K.A.N.T.N.A.G.A.N.O.” first appeared in Montreal when Jonathan Parant (Fly Pan Am, Feu Thérèse) joined an earlier duo formed by Alexander Wilson (01ek, Parabolik Guerilla) and Alexandre St-Onge (Shalabi Effect, Feu Thérèse). But there is evidence that suggests that was a cover-up for a deeper, stranger aspect of K.A.N.T.A.G.A.N.O.’s formation ; a singular event, a convergence of sensations being experienced in several bodies at once, the diffraction of psychological and emotional rainbows through the prism of their live music sessions. It is said that a rich blend of golden Cavendish, a selection of medium-priced wines and a strange respiratory device made of discarded laboratory equipment were present at every session. Sometimes there were also complex rituals involving mirror tables, tiny crumpled pieces of paper, animal skeletons, invisible molecules, and a custom computer program that ciphers acronyms. As fluency progressively became their thing, they experimented with music that moved fluently from their influences to their defluences, oscillating at light speed between sonic nausea and sonic euphoria. They soon learned to tune their frequencies to call the monsters of the abyss to rise to the twinkling stars, with every beat of the slaughtered pig, with every strum of their unicorns and waterfalls…"
